Ulster Correctional Facility is a medium security level facility for males.

Driving Directions

Visiting Days: Weekends and Holidays

Visiting Hours: 8:30AM to 2:30PM (Latest arrival time 2:00PM)

Special Housing Unit Visiting Days & Hours: Incarcerated individuals in SHU custody are allowed one non-legal visit within a seven-day period during normal visitation hours.  Each week begins on a Monday and ends on a Sunday.

Visitation Schedule: Weekend visits are divided into specific segments of the population by last digit of DIN.  The odd/even schedule does not apply to Cadre and Senior Living Program status incarcerated individuals and is waived on holidays for all others. See attached schedule.

2025 Visitation Schedule Note: Visitation is currently weekends only

Maximum Number of Visits per Day:  Incarcerated individuals may have multiple visits on one (1) day if space is available.  Once a visitor leaves, they will not be permitted to visit the same incarcerated individual again that same day.

Maximum Number of Visitors per Visit:  Three (3) visitors and one (1) child under the age of five (5) will be allowed to visit. The child must sit on an adult’s lap.  

Visiting Room Overcrowding Policy:  In the event that space considerations require termination of visits, the following procedure will be followed:

1) Request for volunteers to end their visit.

2) If no volunteers or space requirements still exist, local visits (visitors within 100 miles of facility) will be terminated after 3 hours of visitation on a first in, first out basis.

3) If space requirements continue to exist, visits of incarcerated individuals whose family or friends traveled 100 miles will be terminated after 3 hours of visitation on a first in, first our basis.
