Green Haven Correctional Facility is a maximum security level facility for males.

Visitation

Visitation information effective 01/01/2026

Driving Directions

Visiting Days: Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays

Visiting Hours: 7:30AM to 2:30PM (Latest arrival time 1:30PM). Visit processing will be paused for the facility count at approximately 10:30AM and will resume once the facility count clears.

Special Housing Unit Visiting Days & Hours Incarcerated individuals in SHU custody are allowed one non-legal visit (non-contact) within a seven (7) day period during normal visitation hours. Each week starts on a Friday and ends on a Thursday.

Visitation Schedule:  Weekend visitation rotates in accordance with the attached schedule according to last name (A-L, M-Z).

2026 Visitation Schedule

Maximum Number of Visits per Day: One (1) visit per day

Maximum Number of Visits per Week: Two (2) visits per week

Maximum Number of Visitors per Visit: Three (3) visitors and one (1) child aged five (5) or under will be allowed to visit. The child must sit on an adult’s lap. 

Visiting Room Overcrowding Policy:    In the event that space considerations require termination of visits, the following procedure will be followed:

  1. Request voluntary termination from any visitor to end their visit.
  2. If no volunteers or space requirements still exist, local visits (visitors within 100 miles of the facility) will be terminated after three (3) hours of visitation on a first in, first out basis.
  3. If space requirements continue to exist, visits of incarcerated individuals whose family or friends traveled over 100 miles will be terminated after three (3) hours of visitation on a first in, first out basis.

Visits with special permission or incarcerated individuals who have not received a visit within 6 months will be given special consideration by the Superintendent or Officer of the day prior to termination. 

Special Considerations: Visitors will enter the Visitor Processing area through the side entrance (handicap entrance) and will be screened upon entering the Visitor Processing area
