Collins Correctional Facility is a medium security level facility for males.

Visitation
Visitation information effective 01/01/2026
Visiting Days: Weekends
Visiting Hours: 8:30AM to 3:00PM (Latest arrival time 2:30PM)
Special Housing Unit Visiting Days & Hours: Incarcerated Individuals in SHU custody follow the Side 1 visit day schedule only. See attached schedule below.
Incarcerated individuals in SHU custody are allowed one non-legal visit within a seven (7) day period during normal visitation hours. Each week begins on a Sunday and ends on a Saturday
Visitation Schedule: Weekend visitation is divided into specific segments of the population by housing location. See attached schedule.
Maximum Number of Visits per Day: Unlimited during scheduled visiting hours with respect to the maximum number of visitors and the overcrowding policy.
Number of Allowable Visits per Week: One (1) visiting day per week
Maximum Number of Visitors per Visit: Three (3) visitors and one (1) child under the age of five (5) will be allowed to visit. The child must sit on an adult’s lap.
Visiting Room Overcrowding Policy: In the event that space considerations require termination of visits, the following procedure will be followed:
- Request voluntary termination from any visitor to end their visit.
- If no volunteers or space requirements still exist, local visits (visitors within 100 miles of the facility) will be terminated after three (3) hours of visitation on a first in, first out basis.
- If space requirements continue to exist, visits of incarcerated individuals whose family or friends traveled over 100 miles will be terminated after three (3) hours of visitation on a first in, first out basis.
Visits with special permission or incarcerated individuals who have not received a visit within 6 months will be given special consideration by the Superintendent or Officer of the day prior to termination.
