OSI’s Investigative Counsel Division (ICD) consists of licensed attorneys who assist OSI’s other divisions on the legal aspects of OSI’s investigations, particularly on major and complex investigations, helping to ensure the evidence meets legal and evidentiary standards. Investigative Counsels further review OSI cases to ensure the highest quality review and quality control across OSI’s investigations. Investigative Counsels also develop recommendations to improve operations and mitigate risk. The Investigative Counsel Division also provides OSI with other legal analysis and support related to OSI’s mission on an as needed basis, including reviewing OSI cases related to litigation in coordination with Counsel’s Office.
