Overview

The Carpentry program covers many skills, including framing walls, hanging doors, insulating and installing sheetrock, installing exterior trim, and laying floors. The course also involves reading blueprints and understanding building codes and weatherization.

The goal of the carpentry program is to provide the student with entry level skills in carpentry for the building construction trade area.

This program is self-paced individualized instruction to develop student competencies in entry level skills as defined by modules. It prepares individuals for the following job titles:

  • Carpenter
  • Carpenter Helper
  • Dry Wall Installer/Taper
  • Form Carpenter
  • Framer
  • Insulation Installer
  • Interior Trim & Finish Carpenter
  • Inventory Clerk
  • Roofer
  • Siding Installer
  • Tool Crib Attendant
  • Weatherization Installer

There are no admission requirements.
